This week’s Featured BossMama is: Christine Pham, Founder of BabyBee 3D.

Learning more about Christine…

Christine is a highly experienced medical diagnostic sonographer who has been in the field for 13 years. As a working mother with a 10-year-old daughter and a 3-year-old son, she has always found it challenging to balance her work and family life. Given the long hours and time-consuming nature of her job, Christine often had to leave home before dawn and return home after dark, leaving her with limited time to spend with her loved ones.

The COVID-19 pandemic added another layer of complexity to Christine's life. As the pandemic took hold, there was a significant decline in the number of young people considering careers in the medical field. This, in turn, led to a shortage of medical diagnostic sonographers, making it even more challenging for Christine and her colleagues to keep up with the increasing demand and hours for their services.

In March 2023, Christine made a decision to take control of her work hours while still pursuing her passion for medical imaging.

💡
She found an opportunity in non-diagnostic imaging, which allows her to continue performing ultrasounds but with more flexibility in her schedule. This career move will enable her to spend more time with her family while still providing expecting mothers with the opportunity to connect with their babies visually.

BabyBee’s launch

Christine launched Baby Bee 3D Ultrasound in March of 2023.

The business offers 2D/3D/4D ultrasounds, the opportunity to hear a recording of the baby's heartbeat and early gender determination via blood tests or ultrasounds. The pandemic has caused a shortage of sonographers, leading to an increased patient ratio and burnout among medical technicians.

🔥
For Christine, success means being able to have family movie nights without exhaustion and spending more time with her family without financial worries.

Purchasing an ultrasound unit was a challenge due to high costs, so she decided to buy a laptop unit and become mobile, offering to come to expecting mothers' homes during baby showers or gender reveal parties.

While Baby Bee 3D Ultrasound does not provide diagnoses or pregnancy care, mothers can find peace of mind by seeing their babies and connecting with them visually. Running her business allows Christine to balance her personal life with her professional responsibilities. She is no longer tied down to a set schedule and can spend time with her children whenever they need her.

It is a testament to her dedication to providing quality care for her patients while maintaining her personal life.

What is her next milestone?

Christine's goal for the next 3-6 months is to work closer to home and reduce the time spent commuting to Dallas and downtown Fort Worth.

They now offer 8K photo enhancement. Check out the photo below for the different results.
