Meet Willow, the founder of AyiConnect. With over a decade of experience in consulting practice, she honed her ability to connect talent to job opportunities using online platforms across many different cultures. Her journey started from a personal experience - as an immigrant mom raising two children in the US, she wanted to share her Chinese language and culture with them with the help of a caregiver. It took her a long time to find someone. When her dad got cancer, she struggled to find a companion caregiver who could communicate with him in his native language. This experience made her realize that there had to be a better way to connect families with quality caregivers who share their language and culture.
When Willow and her team built the AyiConnect platform, they discovered a community of underserved non-medical caregivers who were eager for more job opportunities and ways to share their cultures and languages with American families. Most of them are immigrants and not native English speakers, and their job opportunities were previously limited to the local community they knew. AyiConnect offers training courses for caregivers, including caregiving knowledge and English lessons, so they can upskill themselves.
Through the pandemic, AyiConnect faced challenges, including the loss of a dear team member to Covid in Q1 2023. It took an emotional toll, but they took some time to reorganize and came out stronger than ever to support their users.
AyiConnect has made over 10K+ connections with a 4.8 TrustPilot rating. They are constantly improving their platform based on user feedback, adding exciting new features, such as Live Connect for real-time communication with caregivers.

Besides the regular job posts and searches, they offer "Live Connect" events where users can conduct real-time audio and video interviews, extend job offers, and make payments all in one place. Their chat offers multiple language options and translations for seamless communication. Caregivers can also receive ID verification and background checks.
